But there was really no way to test that in the past couple of seasons, given that Jesse James Keitel left in Season 2 to take a series regular role on Peacock’s Queer as Folk reboot, and a previous commitment to a stage play in New York mean Omar Metwally had to be written out of Season 3. Remember at the end of the episode, when he thanked her “for everything” and then put a hand on her knee? Then she held his hand and looked at him, all heart-eyes? We want to know what happened next! Though Beau clearly enjoyed spending time with both Cassie and Jenny, the Season 3 finale sure made it seem like he was leaning toward a romantic relationship with the latter. We’ve been Bunbury fans since her Pitch days - another cancellation that still rankles - and we really would’ve liked to have seen her get some substantive storylines in Season 4. While a lot of the plot seemed to follow Jenny around, Cassie didn’t do a lot more than investigate, flirt with Cormac and build a friendship (and maybe more?) with new sheriff Beau. Kylie Bunbury’s character didn’t have a whole lot to do in Season 3, and that was a crying shame. We weren’t sure exactly what to expect when Big Sky premiered in 2020, and we - along with the rest of the audience - were shocked when the series killed off Ryan Phillippe’s Cody Hoyt in the very first episode. Kelley’s Montana-set drama was cancelled in May.
